Bliss Digital was engaged by the City of Parramatta to refresh their flagship tourism/visitor website, Discover Parramatta. The Discover Parramatta website seeks to improve the experiences and change the perception of both local and visiting users by publishing content that is relevant, authentic, engaging and which showcases what the city has to offer.

The priorities for this project were established through a combination of research including internal stakeholder engagement sessions, website analytics, user focus groups and surveys.

Bliss Digital is passionate about working with local government. For this project, we were excited to help the City of Parramatta reimagine how the website could attract new visitors to Parramatta, as well as better engage the local community with events and small businesses. We collaborated with Council stakeholders and community members on our human-centred design process; which included user-journey mapping, information architecture, wireframes and user interface design.

The Discover Parramatta website uses the Drupal framework on Acquia. The advantage of Drupal’s headless architecture, enables clients to publish content from the CMS to multiple digital channels. The new Discover Parramatta website showcases the city with a modern, accessible and mobile responsive user-experience.

Our Drupal team delivered a CMS solution that allows the council to update events and deliver the latest information with ease.
