Bliss Digital was engaged in mid 2018 to complete a digital transformation strategy for the Tasmanian government-owned energy provider, Aurora Energy.
Aurora Energy is in an ongoing process to launch a new Corporate Strategic Plan. The primary focus of this plan was for the organisation to engage more with consumers and become overtly customer-centric. Their mandate is to encourage active consumer engagement with their brand and product offering.
During our audits, we discovered that their digital environment was complex, with a combination of outdated channels (in particular, their website), exciting new developments in the app space and a diverse set of user needs. The audience for the website was defined as the whole community. The stakeholder group internally was also very broad. To understand the needs of users, we conducted workshops for internal stakeholders, as well as various consumer groups.
Our digital strategy report and recommendations generated much excitement among stakeholders around a unified vision for the future, and in particular the development of a new human-centred website on Drupal 8. Our recommendations also included a series of iterative product releases throughout early 2019, using an agile approach. The speed with which can adopt and implement change–and ultimately, transformation–is a testament to the practical way we approach digital strategy. We are now uniquely positioned to deliver strategies which allow transformation to be swift and ongoing.
