Creative Australia is an Australian Government statutory agency supporting the growth and sustainability of the nation’s arts and cultural sector. Bliss Digital was engaged to design, build, and support a new corporate website and the Creative Workplaces subdomain — replacing multiple legacy WordPress systems with a single, modern Drupal platform.
Creative Australia needed a website capable of supporting diverse audiences, complex content structures, and strict government accessibility requirements. The existing platforms were fragmented, difficult to maintain, and limited in their ability to scale or support future initiatives and sub-brands.
There was also a need to simplify information architecture, improve content discoverability, and reduce the effort required for day-to-day content management.
The solution
Bliss Digital delivered a component-based Drupal 11 platform aligned with Australian Government digital standards and the National Cultural Policy: Revive.
The solution includes a redesigned information architecture, flexible and reusable content components, and a dedicated Creative Workplaces subdomain providing pay, safety, and wellbeing resources for the arts sector. Integrations with Salesforce forms and GA4 analytics support engagement, reporting, and ongoing optimisation.
The outcome
The new platform launched on time and within budget, achieving verified WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance.
Creative Australia now benefits from a stable, secure, and scalable digital foundation with improved navigation, stronger engagement across key audiences, and significantly reduced content management effort. The platform is designed to grow with the organisation, supporting future sub-brands and digital initiatives.
