Haymes Paint Digital Strategy - Website Redesign - SilverStripe CMS

Haymes Paint is Australia's largest independently owned paint manufacturer and interior/exterior paint experts. Haymes needed a qualified team to help them position their brand as Australia’s online leader in paint. They appointed Bliss Media to review their digital strategy, which included the redevelopment of their website on SilverStripe CMS. Today Bliss continues to develop innovative tools for Haymes Paint customers.

The legacy site was content heavy and comprised of several thousand pages. Due to poor Information Architecture, many pages were seldom visited and were difficult for users to find. Our new design focused on segmenting users and minimising clicks. We simplified the navigation and added intuitive search functionality that predicted terms. We worked with Haymes on a digital content strategy that provides their key audience groups with engaging content across the entire website.

The paint calculator is a very useful tool we developed to enable users to get an instant estimate of how many litres of paint is required for their paint projects.

Users are able to find what they want, fast and easily with a highly intelligent search tool. The search makes autosuggestions on the fly based on matches with paint colours, and other site content types.

We developed an interactive colour wall tool that enables users to choose colours and instantly visualise it when applied to the interior of a home

The site features highly visual and refreshing content around colour advice, DIY tips, videos and products.

Our digital strategy has been a great success and has helped Haymes rejuvenate their brand in the online space. Bliss has been engaged by Haymes to assist with their social media strategy and further develop exciting new online tools for their customers.
